Hello

I’m Joseph L. Seymour. For the last 15+ years, I’ve helped organizations clarify vision, design better systems, and lead with purpose. I’m stepping boldly into a new season—faith-forward, strategy-driven, and committed to helping mission-minded organizations maximize their impact.

Let’s build what’s next. Together.

My Story

I am a seasoned workforce development executive, organizational strategist, and faith-forward leader with more than 15 years of experience designing, leading, and modernizing systems that serve people at scale.

My career spans the full workforce development continuum—from frontline service delivery to executive leadership. I have held progressive roles including Youth Development Specialist, Job Developer, Re-employment Coach, Trainer and Subject Matter Expert, Workshop Facilitator, and One-Stop Operator. This end-to-end experience allows me to see where systems break down, why performance stalls, and how to redesign models that actually work in practice—not just on paper.

At the executive level, I bring over a decade of senior leadership experience. I have served as Corporate Training and Development Coordinator and Managing Director of Operational Excellence at a national workforce services organization, overseeing enterprise-wide staff development, programmatic performance, fiscal compliance, and operational strategy. I am also a past President of SETA, a regional workforce development association representing more than 1,000 professionals across the Southeast, and I currently serve as Executive Pastor of a growing, community-focused church in Hartford, Connecticut.

My work has been recognized nationally. I am a recipient of the NAWDP Annual Professional Development award honoring excellence in training, facilitation, and workforce leadership. I am also a highly sought-after keynote speaker and facilitator, having delivered impactful sessions for thousands of professionals at national, regional, state, and local conferences across the country.

As a consultant, I partner with mission-driven organizations to deliver practical, implementable solutions. My work includes leadership coaching, system and service-delivery redesign, SOP development, strategic planning, program design and oversight, performance management, and WIOA program design and implementation. I also design and deliver custom training and curriculum for workforce boards, government agencies, municipalities, non-profits, community colleges, service providers, member associations, and faith-based institutions.

I am deeply committed to building systems that make impact sustainable, measurable, and defensible—while coaching leaders to maximize their effectiveness, clarity, and capacity. My approach blends strategic rigor with cultural fluency and values-based leadership.

Outside of my professional work, I am married to Dr. Sharron Riley-Seymour, a licensed therapist and founder of a Break-Free Center for Wellness. We are actively engaged in our church, passionate home cooks, and avid travelers.

At the core of everything I do is a simple belief: when people, strategy, and systems are aligned, organizations don’t just perform better—they transform lives.
